Nose dripping in the cold
Dr. Henry Cheng
Q: I always have intractable dripping from my nose in cold weather. What can I do?
A: Nose dripping in cold weather is due to intolerance of the nasal mucosa to harsh temperatures. I apply a homeopathic ointment called CICADERMINE (used to be called Homeoplasmin) to the nasal passage when I go skiing. This is one of only a few ointments that can be applied to the nasal mucosa. It is good for boils inside the nose, dry nose, crust formation, raw mucosa due to excessive secretions, eruptions around the nose, eczema, nose bleeding, atrophic rhinitis, sensitivity to fragrances, seasonal allergies, etc.
