Q: I always have intractable dripping from my nose in cold weather. What can I do?
Dr. Henry Cheng: Nose dripping in cold weather is due to intolerance of the nasal mucosa to harsh temperatures. I apply a homeopathic ointment called HOMEOPLASMIN to the inside of my nose when I go skiing. I also used that when I went on the African Safari and the Saudi desert. This is one of only a few ointments that are suitable for the nasal mucosa. It is also good for a wide variety of other conditions including tiny boils and sores inside the nose, dry mucosa, crust formation, raw mucosa due to excessive secretions, eruptions around the nose, eczema, nose bleeding due to fragile capillaries, atrophic rhinitis, sensitivity to fragrances, seasonal allergies, etc. People also use this around their pet’s noses.
