Q: Is there such a thing as a “homeopathic flu shot”?
A: Most people think of a “flu shot” as a vaccination that is given either intranasally or by intramuscular injection to elicit a response from the immune system in the form of antibodies formed against the influenza virus. In this sense, no, there is no such thing as a homeopathic flu shot. However, for those who cannot get the conventional influenza vaccine, there is a homeopathic preparation called Influenzinum that can be helpful to prepare your body for the flu season. Please note that for those who can receive the flu shot, it is still the best way to ensure reduced severity and duration of illness caused by influenza viruses.
