Q: What can be used in place of Esberitox to fend off colds and flus?
A: Now that Esberitox has been discontinued, many parents are scrambling to find an alternative that is as beneficial for kids and adults for minimizing the severity and duration of cough and cold symptoms. Esberitox was easy to take and well-tolerated. One of the fore-runners is Sisu’s Cold & Flu Rescue Capsules, which consists of Ester-C, Andrographis, N-acetyl-L-cysteine, Echinacea angustifolia (narrow-leaf echinacea), and Echinacea purpuria (purple coneflower); Esberitox also contained E.purpuria. There is also a kids’ chewable formula (age4-9), which has Zinc, Vitamin A, and beta-carotene in place of Andrographis, NALC, and E.angustifolia. They are best used at the onset of symptoms, as well as a preventative to stimulate and regulate immunity if those around you are not well.
